WHAT THE DATA SHOWS
This is a 2025 annual index published in October 2026. The composite and component levels are index points relative to 2015 = 100; their year-over-year rates are changes in those indices. They do not measure 2026 innovation activity, real GDP growth, absolute R&D spending, actual patent counts, business revenue or Canadian commercial effects. Earlier index observations were revised after final GDP verification.
